Oncologists in Israel

Hormone therapy for breast cancer was prescribed by Professor Tamar Safra from the Sourasky Clinic. The course has been going on for 3 months, I recently had a mammogram, there are improvements. The neoplasm stopped growing and even began to decrease. I need to take the drugs for at least 3 more months, then I will fly to Israel for an operation.

Breast cancer has been associated with mutations in the BRCA1, BRCA2 genes. Just got to Professor Tamar Safra, who specializes in these mutations. In December 2012, in Russia, I was diagnosed with oncology, but without clarification. Unfortunately, my illness was acute and transient. Since it was December, we felt the slowness of the medical machine. We turned to Israel at the Sourasky clinic in Tel Aviv, where we were very promptly and quickly helped with the organization of diagnostic procedures, PET / CT, which are very important in the initial period in order to understand what exactly is happening to a person. Doctor Moshe Inbar was appointed - this is one of the outstanding doctors in the field of oncology and in general in the world. We were able to get to him quickly. In less than a week from the date of arrival in Israel, a diagnosis was made, and we began treatment, which is quite severe, but the disease is the same. I spent four months in Israel, went through four courses of chemotherapy. Everything ended successfully. We have conquered the disease.

I want to confess that I went to Israel to the Sourasky clinic in the most upset feelings. In Moscow, doctors diagnosed stage 4 ovarian cancer with metastases to the peritoneum and other organs, and they could only offer me palliative treatment without any chance of life. But at the very first meeting with Israeli doctors, all the negativity vanished into oblivion: I was greeted very kindly, but, most importantly, during the first examination, Israeli doctors refuted the initial diagnosis of domestic specialists. As it turned out, I have not the 4th, but the 3rd stage of cancer. At the same time, the behavior of doctors was radically different: they calmed me down, inspired me for treatment, motivated me and constantly supported me. I want to note that when making a decision about treatment in Israel, I was guided not only by the fame of the clinic, but also by the names of the doctors who work in it. For example, Moshe Inbar is a world-famous oncologist. After going through several chemotherapy courses, I was operated on by the excellent oncosurgeon Dan Grisaro, who completely rid my body of the tumor and its metastases. Now I will have to come here at the end of June to undergo a follow-up examination. Now I will go here with a completely different mood, because here I have found a second family!

I have breast cancer. The doctors suggested that I remove both breasts and ovaries, and then undergo a course of treatment with Herceptin. Of course, I was warned that after such treatment I would not be able to have children. But I did not lose hope and decided to go to Israel for examination and treatment. Israeli doctors confirmed the diagnosis, but Professor Moshe Inbar said that it was impossible to treat me with Herceptin, since I had a hormone-independent type of tumor. He drew up a different chemotherapy protocol for me. I bought medicines for treatment in Israel, and I administer them in Moscow, in a private clinic.

I had previously been treated for breast cancer, but after 3 years I was diagnosed with gynecological oncology. I turned to the Moscow Institute of Radiology, where I was prescribed severe treatment. I could not recover for a year after that, and when I underwent another examination, it turned out that the cancer had already passed from stage 1 to stage 4. In desperation, I flew to Israel. In Sourasky, I got a consultation with Professor Moshe Inbar, one of the leading Israeli oncologists. He made a good impression on me. The doctor scheduled an operation for me, and it was performed immediately after a few days. Then there was chemotherapy and radiation therapy. But a subsequent examination showed that the treatment had no effect. On the advice of Professor Inbar, I returned home, feeling better after all. The doctor recommended that I fly in immediately if I feel worse. A year later, my condition unfortunately worsened and I returned to Sourasky. Professor Inbar insisted on trying the innovative anti-cancer drug Keytruda. I have been treated at home and feel much better.

Sourasky Hospital and Professor Moshe Inbar were recommended to me for an oncological examination. Preparation for the trip took a little less than a week. Upon arrival in Israel, I was sent for diagnostics, they took all the necessary tests for tumor markers. The results of the examination showed that I have no predisposition to cancer, although my close relatives had this disease. I want to say a huge thank you to Professor Inbar, who ordered a competent examination and relieved me of all my fears.

I had an online consultation with Prof. Moshe Inbar. I sent the necessary documents and test results via the Internet. The professor answered all questions and gave recommendations for treatment.

Last year I underwent cancer treatment in Israel. Including consulted with Dr. Inbar. His therapy regimens helped to avoid radical surgery. The only negative is the cost of the consultation, which is much higher than that of other specialists. But this is not surprising, because he is one of the best oncologists in the world.

I was not aware that my dizziness symptoms are because of a brain tumor. I have been to many neurologists but nobody was able to identify the situation. Dr. Dvora in just a visit informed me about the severity of the situation and did my surgery herself. The treatment has made me feel a lot better.

We have a complicated case. Our daughter has leukemia. But in Israel we were given new hope, we were told that the percentage of recovery is quite high and that we should not give up. We began heavy treatment, there was a lot of things and hands down and lost hope, but continued to do everything that told us Israeli specialists. Now we are home, it's a miracle, but the daughter feels good, we were told that we coped! We still need to go for check-ups, but it's a small thing compared to the fact that we had no hope of recovery. The doctor performed a bone marrow transplant on my daughter as she has leukemia. So far she is in remission, I don't know if the disease has receded. The specialist is good and understanding.

I went to Israel for breast cancer treatment. I went because I had read that they often remove only a part of the breast instead of cutting it all off, if I may say so. I coped quickly, I think, because I discussed the financial nuances in advance in the telephone mode, learned how much it costs. To be honest, psychologically it was not very comfortable to discuss it, as I do not have very large funds, but it was worth it, because in the end I actually got help to save money. After arriving in Israel, I was quickly examined and my expectations were confirmed - I was suitable for the operation lumpectomy - it is the removal of only part of the breast. And after it, they said that I should undergo chemotherapy. So I had the operation, and I think the effect is good. Yes, one breast is a little bigger now, the second one is smaller, but it is there, and that means a lot to me. Because I can not agree when they say that the main thing is to remove everything and live. How can I feel like a woman then? I'm not 80 years old yet. I was given chemotherapy by Dr. Irina Stefanski, but I had it at home. It's been a year so far, and I'm doing well.

It is good that in Israel it is now possible to talk to a doctor via skype. I am being treated for oncology, and I had problems after chemo. Our doctors could not help me. Thank you to all the doctors who participated in our checkup: Dr. Yehuda Levy, cardiologist, Dr. Yonam the radiologist, Dr. Urologist Beri, Dr. Stefansky, oncologist, Dr. Zvi Lidar, neurosurgeon. A very low bow to the ground to them. Thanks to these doctors my husband will live. There was no chance in Ukraine. When I came to Ihilov Hospital for treatment, I already had stage 3 breast cancer. So a team of doctors worked with me, among them Dr. Stefansky. She was able to customize my chemotherapy treatment, taking into account all of my multiple diseases. I am receiving courses of her prescribed treatments at home and the disease has receded.

I brought my father, who had liver cancer, to Israel for treatment. Unfortunately, it was too late to perform surgery and there was only one hope for chemotherapy. We were lucky to be treated by Dr. Irina Stefansky. I have never met such a competent, thoughtful and attentive doctor. She gave us a detailed description of all the courses of chemotherapy, my father had his first few sessions at the clinic, and now we are being treated at home.

I had an operation for ovarian cancer at Ihilov Clinic, but during the examination it turned out that there were already metastases, so I had to use chemotherapy. In 2011 my daughter was diagnosed with oncology in Russia. We came to Israel for treatment and got treated by Dr. Levin. Dr. David Sarid provided my chemotherapy treatment. He is a humble and compassionate doctor who supported me through difficult moments and advised me on the steps I should take before, during and after each chemotherapy session.

I was offered something at Ichilov that I was not offered at home - bladder preservation. My diagnosis was bladder cancer. I was given chemotherapy at home, after which I was to undergo surgery to remove my bladder - with all the consequences that entails. I went through a course of chemotherapy - quite well, by the way. But my wife and I decided to go abroad for the operation, hoping that they would put this artificial bladder in my bladder, so we came to Ichilov. So, if I had just done the operation, I probably would not have written anything. I decided to write a review of treatment in Israel because of the fact that I did not have surgery there - they offered me another option. After examination, my oncourologist said that he considers it inexpedient to immediately do surgery, that it is better to conduct chemoradiation therapy and save the bladder. What was my surprise - I thought I was on my way to surgery. So, of course, I agreed to this non-surgical option. All these procedures I underwent in Israel, so it, of course, cost a lot of money, because we lived with my wife in a rented apartment, and for the procedures I just came to the hospital. To be more precise, I came by bus, because we rented an apartment further away from the clinic - it was cheaper. The coordinators - thanks to them - told me where I could buy food more cheaply, because you can't get far on ready-made food in cafes and restaurants - you can go without money. This is more for tourists who come for a vacation. So my wife cooked for me herself - it was more pleasant and familiar to me. But the main thing is the result: I spent money on additional examination, treatment, accommodation and so on. And I saved my bladder - no one will convince me that an artificial one would have been better. If I had to make that choice again, I would make the same choice.
