BHT Clinic Istanbul Tema – a modern multidisciplinary hospital that is part of the Bahat Health Group network. The main specialties include oncology, cardiology, transplantology, neurosurgery, bariatric and plastic surgery. BHT Clinic Istanbul Tema is located in a 19-story building with a total area of 55,000 square meters. It was built based on the “smart home” concept and has been awarded the LEED Gold certificate. Oncology and Oncosurgery
The oncology department of BHT Clinic carries out diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The hospital performs surgeries for solid tumors of various locations: breast, gastrointestinal tract, thyroid gland, pelvic organs, and more. Patients receive courses of drug therapy, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
As part of radiotherapy, BHT radiologists use next-generation equipment: TrueBeam STx linear accelerators, and GammaKnife and CyberKnife radiosurgery systems. The oncohematology department treats leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.
Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery
BHT Clinic Istanbul Tema has adult and pediatric cardiology, cardiac surgery, and emergency care units for acute conditions. Diagnostic methods include:

BHT cardiac surgeons perform interventions for congenital and acquired heart defects, in particular:

Transplantology
BHT’s transplant programs include kidney, liver, and bone marrow transplantation. Transplants are performed from living donors. The program includes preoperative assessment of both recipient and donor, HLA typing, immunosuppressive therapy, and postoperative follow-up. The department uses organ perfusion technologies and real-time graft function monitoring systems.
Genetics Center
The BHT genetic laboratory is equipped with Illumina and Ion Torrent sequencing platforms. The center offers:
- whole genome sequencing (DNA analysis to identify causes of pathologies);
- panel testing for hereditary cancer syndromes (BRCA1/2, TP53, APC, MMR, etc.);
- prenatal diagnostics (NIPT);
- karyotyping (detection of genetic abnormalities);
- genetic tests such as FISH and CNV.
The department provides oncogenetic counseling, personalized tumor risk assessments, and evaluation of eligibility for targeted therapy based on tumor mutation profiles.
Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy
BHT Clinic offers rehabilitation after stroke, orthopedic surgeries, and for neuromuscular disorders. It uses robotic systems for restoring movement in lower and upper limbs (Lokomat, Armeo), standing frames, and electromyostimulators. Physiotherapy programs include methods such as magnetotherapy, laser therapy, shockwave therapy, and kinesio taping.
Bariatric Surgery
BHT bariatric surgeons perform gastric sleeve surgery, gastric bypass, and biliopancreatic diversion. Some operations are performed laparoscopically with 3D visualization. Before surgery, patients are evaluated by nutritionists, psychologists, and endocrinologists. The department also offers eating behavior correction programs using bioimpedance analysis and personalized weight loss planning.
Cosmetic and Aesthetic Medicine

I had gastric sleeve surgery for the sake of my four children with Dr. Gürdal Ören. The operation went very well, and I recovered very quickly within two days, thanks to Dr. Gürdal and his fantastic team, as well as dietitian Neslihan Ağababa, who, like Dr. Gürdal Ören, is extremely professional. She thoroughly explained the nutrition phase I would go through, and as a person, she is wonderful — she cared for me as if I were a member of her own family ❤️❤️

This clinic is incredible place!
We came abroad from Ukraine, pregnant on 8th month. Don’t know country, city but we was welcome like at home. We had translator all time with us which helps with all kind of information and questions. Sabina, she was our translator and guide through all questions and life side advices in new for us country. She was incredibly helpful. Like mother, who takes care always. Professionals of highest standards in medicine done their job for 200% and we have incredible son. And facilities. Oh my god. This is not a hospital. This is highest standard hotel with all leisure facilities. We are so happy and we will come back when anything we need to do.

I was very much pressured, coerced and harassed into signing a paperwork without even having a consultation or a given chance to read them properly. So watch out for the bureaucracy side of it.
However the medical staff seemed lovely as does the hospital and the treatment went well and at a fraction of the price it would have cost me in the UK.

I had surgery with ENT specialist Dr. Mahmut. He was always very kind and patient. The anesthesiologist Dr. Emre and his team were also very warm, and I sincerely thank them all.
However, as someone from within the healthcare sector, I observed that everything else was incredibly lacking, disorganized, and undisciplined. To give a simple example: despite being told three times, hourly ice application was never done unless we requested it. I stayed in the hospital for about two days, and my vitals were checked only once.
While being taken to the operating room, a single nurse handled the transfer, which made it nearly impossible for her to check the bed properly — a porter was definitely needed.
Even though I told them I felt dizzy from anesthesia and still had 2–3 hours left before discharge, they removed my IV. If a complication had developed, how would they have intervened?
Given the resources available and the fact that this is a reputable private healthcare institution, I kindly request that you place greater importance on patient satisfaction.

A wonderful experience! BHT Clinic is equipped with advanced technologies and the most amazing staff. Everything here is held to the highest standards. The doctors and nurses are very knowledgeable and supportive. Upon my arrival at BHT Clinic I was greeted by my translator Marina Bal, who not only is a professional at her job, but also the most warm-hearted person. Marina is the kind of woman you can always rely on, she did an amazing job with coordinating our entire experience: be it help with communication, accommodation and etc. In summary, I felt comforted and supported during my whole stay at BHT Clinic and I am amazed by the willingness of the staff to stay in constant touch with systematic updates on my condition and progress even after my stay.

More like a hotel then a clinic. Everything is done to make the patient feels reassured. The staff are very professional from the reception secretary to the surgeon. Even tho most of them does not speak English but they do all necessary effort to understand, explain and make a smoothe communication.
A special thanks goes to the nurses, not for doing their job as it should be only, but for doing it with a smile and delicacy.
It was a nice experience over here.
