Kangal Thermal Spa in Turkey is known worldwide as the most effective treatment center for psoriasis and other skin diseases. It is located in the province of Kangal near the city of Sivas at the site of a thermal spring. It appeared as a result of an earthquake after the disappearance of the lake and the displacement of the layers. The value of natural thermal springs for the treatment of psoriasis and other dermatological diseases lies in the chemical properties of the water and the fish that live in it.

Features of Therapy in Kangal
The healing effect on the human body at the Kangal resort consists of a combination of several factors:
- Composition of mineral waters. The increased amount of zinc and selenium in thermal water helps to strengthen the skin's immunity and reduce the possibility of recurrence of symptoms.
- Exposure to ultraviolet light. The treatment center is located in the mountains at an altitude of 1,600 meters with optimal atmospheric pressure. Here, the effect of direct sunlight is enhanced, and clean air increases their effectiveness.
- Hot baths. The constant temperature of the springs with the accompanying jacuzzi effect reaches 36-37 degrees. This helps to warm up and soften the skin, and in the future, it makes it easier for the fish to process the affected areas of the skin. The treatment complex includes 4 fish pools where patients undergo daily procedures in the morning and evening for 2-4 hours.
- Fish healers. The hot springs are inhabited by 2 species of unique fish 2-8 cm in size – Garra Rufa and Cyprinides Macrostamus. The former remove dead skin flakes, and the latter treat the affected areas with special saliva. This contributes to the sterilization of the skin and the rapid healing of the affected areas. Healthy resilient skin withstands their teeth, so the fish eat only the affected areas, opening access to the life-giving water of the source. In contact with the patient's body, the fish conduct a kind of micro-massage. With fish therapy, pain is completely excluded. There is only slight tingling.
The therapy also includes drinking 2-3 liters of mineral water with a high content of selenium, including taking 2-3 glasses on an empty stomach. This contributes to the release of hidden manifestations of the disease to the surface of the skin, which can be successfully treated in a sanatorium center.
Results of Psoriasis Treatment in Kangal
Treatment of diseases in the Kangal sanatorium takes place according to a special technique developed by Turkish doctors. Therapy does not include taking medications and medical manipulations. Great place for people who want to improve their skin. This is more of a resort than a hotel. This is a resort for psoriatics and people with skin diseases (eczema, vitiligo, etc.) The essence of the rest is this – have breakfast, lie in the pool with thermal water (40 degrees) and fish eat you))) – 4 hours. Two hours for rest and lunch, and again for fish food). Men and women are in different pools behind the fence – there are sun loungers on the territory of the pool. Everyone goes and sunbathes almost naked, but no one is shy. Since the hotel is located high in the mountains, there are practically no clouds, and therefore the tan is so even and beautiful and without traces of a swimsuit.))) The food is excellent. Everything is very delicious. Since the hotel is very small and there are few people, the choice of food is small. All inclusive, I do not advise it turns out more expensive – it is better to take it without food and pay for food in a restaurant. The water there is thermal with a high content of selenium, there is a spring on the street where you collect hot water and drink from two liters a day. After the fish, the skin becomes like that of a baby – soft and smooth.))) In the evening, from the entertainment, there is a cafe-tea and board games. You can’t go outside the territory – jackals are found in the mountains, but the owners of the hotel keep huge dogs – the Kangal breed – that chase them. This is real Turkey, which you will not see in resort towns – there women wear a veil and sit separately with men. Three weeks flew by like a flash. There are not many of our people there, but there is always a company.))) And those who came for treatment cannot drink alcohol.))) The staff is good and helpful. The owner is kindness itself – he greets everyone and sometimes treats him to tea, coffee and my favorite kushburna))))

This is my fourth time at the Kangal sanatorium, and I personally made sure that this is the only method of treating psoriasis, which is the most effective and has no side effects. The thermal spring of Kangal Balikli is located 1.2 hours from the center of Sivas, and this is a great place for medical examination and treatment. The pools open at 8 am. During the holidays it gets very crowded. The men’s pool is quite large, but the women’s pool is quite small. It’s a pity for such a famous spa resort, it would be necessary to increase the pool.
