30-Day Recovery Reflection – Girin Plastic Surgery, Seoul

It’s been a full month since my surgeries at Girin Plastic Surgery — mini facelift, mini tummy tuck, under-eye fat repositioning, and incisional double eyelid surgery — and I’m thrilled with how everything is coming together.

Face: The bruising has completely faded, and there’s just a bit of tightness around my jawline and ears that’s easing more every day.
Eyes: The eyelids are still a little puffy, but the folds are looking more natural and symmetrical as time goes by.
Abdomen: My stomach feels flatter and more toned, with only minimal soreness when touched.

I just have a double eyelids operation. After 5 days post op, i already can see the result. I’m happy and looking forward to looking even better.
My doctor is Jeon Ji, she is very good and super nice. I have rejuran for my skin as well but it will take sometimes to see the result but overall i‘m very happy.

I have always had issues with my eyelids and eyebrows drooping, particularly my right eyelid. This has lead to issues with my vision, due to my eyes being partially covered and the extra corneal pressure associated with this.

This issue, combined with a planned trip to South Korea, led me to look for a plastic surgeon who could help me. I spent a lengthy period of time searching for the best surgeon to help me, and I ended up choosing to have this done through Girin Plastic Surgery. I did consider a number of others, but overall, Girin was the highest rated for the surgery that I needed.

From the beginning, the staff at Girin were fantastic. The online consultation was very easy. I described the issue that I was having, and provided some photos of my face and eyes. From this, a surgeon at Girin was able to provide me with a recommendation on the procedures to be carried out, namely a forehead reduction, brow lift, ptosis correction, and hair transplant to cover the scarring from the forehead reduction.

Naturally, I had a number of questions about the procedures and potential alternatives that could be done. For every question, Min (my main contact at Girin) had a professional and quick answer. We were also able to organise my in-person consultation and surgery date before my arrival in Korea, and Min was able to organise for them to be on the same day!

Once the consultation/surgery date came around, I arrived for my consultation and we immediately greeted by Anne, another fantastic staff member who would be looking after me on the day. I was nervous ahead of the surgery, but Anne was always able to answer any questions and calm my nerves.

We held my consultation with two separate surgeons. Dr Jeon Ji In was a specialist surgeon who would handle my ptosis correction, forehead reduction and brow lift. We ended up deciding that a forehead reduction would be unnecessary and that a brow lift and ptosis correction would be enough to correct my issue.

I was very impressed with the consultation experience. The surgeons really took the time to listen to my concerns and issues, and were very collaborative when deciding how my eyes and hairline would look after the procedure.

Thanks to the timing of the day, I was able to begin the procedures almost immediately after the end of the consultation! The surgery took place on the floor above the main consultation offices, and the facilities were immaculate and as professional as any hospital. Anne remained with me for the entire period from the beginning of the consultation until the moment the anesthetic started to be administered.

The aftercare in the weeks following the surgery was fantastic too. In addition to the provided aftercare instructions, for all the questions I had about how to care for my wounds, Min and Anne were able to give me a prompt response.

I cannot recommend Girin Plastic Surgery enough. The entire process was extremely professional and caring, and I could tell that the surgical staff there are experts at providing solutions while ensuring that the end result is aesthetic.

In particular, Min and Anne were fantastic to deal with. If you decide to have a procedure done, I hope that you get to deal with them too!

One-Week Post-Op Review — Eyelid Surgery
I had ✅ upper eyelid surgery ✅ eyelid lift and ✅ fat removal from the upper eyelid.
I found the clinic through recommendations from friends nearby, and the surgery was performed by Dr. Jeon Ji In. Fortunately, after the procedure I had minimal swelling, almost no bruising, no pain, and most importantly, I am very happy with the shape of my eyelids — natural and perfectly fitting. Anyone who didn’t see me before would never guess I had eyelid surgery 😂.

It’s true that eyes are the window to the soul!
I recommend this clinic to anyone who wants beautiful eyes.

Two-Week Post-Op Review — Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
I visited the clinic for a consultation because my breasts were significantly sagging. The doctor recommended a mastopexy with an anchor incision.
Before pregnancy, my breasts were round and beautiful. I did not breastfeed directly but pumped milk, which caused sagging.

I learned about Girin Clinic through Facebook and decided to consult with Dr. Jeon Ji In, a specialist in breast lifts. After the consultation, I trusted the doctor’s expertise.

The surgery was painless, and I rested for about five days afterward. Now my breasts are lifted, no longer sagging, and I am very satisfied with the results.

I visited the clinic for a consultation and had my breast augmentation surgery just over a month ago. I’m very satisfied with the results! Dr. Song Jae Yong is truly skilled — the procedure was smooth and almost painless. My breasts have already settled into shape and feel soft and natural. The clinic staff were very attentive and kind. It’s been only three months since my breast augmentation surgery performed by Dr. Song Jae Yong. The result is amazing — my breasts look beautiful and natural, I’m very satisfied! I’m planning to come back for other procedures. The prices are the same for Vietnamese and Korean clients, and sometimes Vietnamese customers even get discounts. Girin Clinic has many patients — Koreans, Vietnamese, and foreigners. Overall, the clinic is excellent, and the staff are very friendly — 10 out of 10!

If I had known that breast augmentation would make me feel this confident and beautiful, I would have done it much earlier 🥹
At first, I couldn’t decide whether to have the incision under the breast or through the armpit. I heard the armpit method was more painful, but I chose it anyway because I was worried about scars.
Honestly, it wasn’t as painful as people say!

My cheekbones used to stick out, so my face looked a bit strong from both the front and the side.
I had a consultation with Dr. Kyung Min Lee, and he explained every detail of my facial structure using a CT scan, which made me feel very confident about the procedure.
The surgery was done very carefully, and although I had some bruising and swelling during recovery, everything settled naturally after about 2–3 weeks.
Now my facial contour looks more balanced and softer, and my face looks completely different in photos — I’m so happy with the result!

I had such an amazing experience at ID Hospital.

A little background about me... I’m not new to plastic surgeries... and wanted to get a rhinoplasty revision in South Korea. I did a ton... like ALOT of research and contacted almost every famous plastic surgery hospitals/clinics before flying to Korea. (I wasn’t planning on contacting ID since I know how famous ID hospital was! I was intimidated and scared since I also read the old bad reviews as well!)

I then ask one of my girlfriends who also got some procedures done in Korea for recommendations, and she suggested just to contact ID first. Just to kinda see what they say and how knowledgeable they are! (Trust me after contacting so many hospitals... you see how some places are more knowledgeable than others, and if they are just trying to make as much money as possible) I honestly contacted ID just for research, and trying to get as much information as possible... since this is my face, and I was getting a revision! So I was scared like what if it didn’t come out the way I wanted it to again you know?!
v But after getting in contact ID hospitals consultation team I noticed how knowledgeable they are, and answered all my questions perfectly! I felt so comfortable with them doing the procedures! I decided to just do my browbone shaving and fat graft as well. It was the best decision ever!

ID arranged airport pickup and drop off for me. I felt so important the moment I landed in Seoul until the day I left because of ID. I met with my consultant and translators the day of my surgery (who are all so sweet and kind by the way!) I also had my consultation with the doctors as well... and it made me even more comfortable seeing how knowledgeable they were, and telling me not to do certain procedures since I didn’t need them! Which I definitely appreciated!!! After my surgery I stayed 1 night at the hospital (oh and let me tell you! I felt ZERO pain! Just tired from anesthesia) I was instructed to do ALOT of walking the day after surgery to help with swelling. (Also it’s completely normal in Korea to walk around bandaged up and cast still on... haha) and I got my stitches and cast off my nose the 7th day and met with my surgeons. Also got aftercare treatment which I loved! (It’s basically getting a facial and laser to help with swelling and prevent hematoma) on the 14th day I met my surgeons again and got another aftercare treatment before I headed home.

Anyways I understand getting plastic surgery is a very scary process, and sometimes reading reviews can be make it even scarier. Just know that any kind of surgeries come with pros and cons... it’s definitely uncomfortable... and it has a lot to do with how serious you take the after care instructions. I took ALL the instructions seriously! I walked and shopped a lot... didn’t eat salty, spicy, or greasy foods. Took all my meds, and cleaned my wounds.

I was so intimidated by ID and traveling to South Korea alone for the first time. But looking back... I loved every second of it! And can’t wait to go back!!! I’m happy with my results! I’m loving my new Barbie line rhinoplasty, and my browbone is gone! (It was my biggest insecurity!) The fat graft added to the sunken areas of my face makes me look so much younger! Overall my experience at ID hospital has been nothing but amazing! And I wanted to give a special shout out to Clair, Anna, Julie, Jay, Dr. Lee Kyung Min, and Dr. Sohn Ho Sung! You guys are all so amazing and made me feel so comfortable! Thank you again!!!

I came across Girin Clinic through a YouTube vlog. There was a girl who looks quite similar to me sharing her plastic surgery journey and how happy she was with the results at Girin. That really motivated me to check out the clinic, and after reading so many positive reviews, I decided to go ahead with my rhinoplasty here. The consultation was smooth, and the translator stayed with me the entire time, answering all my questions and making me feel completely at ease. After meeting the surgeon, I felt confident and fully ready to move forward.

It’s been about a month and a half since my surgery, and I’m feeling pretty good. Everything healed nicely, the scars are fading, and I’m slowly getting used to my new nose shape. My nostrils were quite wide before, and now they’re much narrower. The change looks really natural, but having lived with a bigger nose for nearly 30 years, it’s taking a little time to adjust. Overall, I’m very happy with the experience and would highly recommend the clinic 😊

I’m so thrilled I found this clinic! I heard about it from my friends, who also had procedures here, and now I totally understand why they chose Girin.

My first consultation for rhinoplasty was excellent. They provided an amazing translator, so I had no trouble understanding the doctor or explaining my concerns. They even did an X-ray completely free, and on the same day, I had a meeting with Dr. Han Ji Hyun. The doctor is very professional and creates natural-looking noses, exactly what I wanted! ^^

I got answers to all my questions, so I feel calm and prepared for the surgery. The translator continues to support me and answer my questions even after the consultation. Knowing they’re always there is so reassuring and shows their professionalism and dedication to patients ^^

My first experience of contacting JK Plastic Surgery was in 2019 and my second was in May 2023. I didn't choose this clinic at random but because of the quick response, professionalism and transparent pricing which was explained in detail via WhatsApp. My consultant was Jin Joo and she is just wonderful - always on call, available to answer questions and keep in contact until I arrived in Seoul and had the procedure done. Everything went as well as expected, so I have full confidence in JK Plastic.

The level of care here is top notch, communication is clear, and the staff is always available to answer any questions. The quality of care has remained consistently high since my first visit in 2019. The clinic speaks good English and does a thorough pre-surgery physical exam before surgery. Many thanks to Jin Joo, Dr. Kim, Dr. Yang and the entire JK team. Every time is a great experience and I am completely satisfied with my procedures!

JK is one of the best plastic surgery centers in South Korea with top-notch surgeons. I underwent laser facial treatment and my friend had rhinoplasty. We were both very happy with the results. We had an initial Zoom consultation before surgery, and then we called and texted several times to discuss all the details and desired results.

After the procedure, we stayed at a hotel near JK, located in a vibrant area of Seoul with lots of stylish stores and great restaurants. The clinic also provided a transfer service - a driver took us from the hotel to the airport. Everything was organized at the highest level!

Dr. Be and Dr. Kim are wonderful specialists who really care about making me look my best. The staff at the clinic are very attentive, I would like to especially mention Mrs. Yang. The nurses also left a good impression - they are incredibly caring and tidy.

I’m Chloe, 30, from Ireland, and I had rhinoplasty, V-line, and fat transfer at ID Hospital a month ago. From the start, the staff were professional, kind, and made me feel completely at ease.

The English team was fantastic — patient, supportive, and always made sure I understood everything. The consultations were thorough, the hospital was spotless, and my surgery went smoothly. Recovery was tough at first, but I felt cared for every step of the way.

I visited many well-known clinics to have revision surgery, but none of the surgeons seemed truly trustworthy.
The only doctor I could trust was Dr. Sehwee Hwang…
In the end, I can say the results turned out really well (considering human and medical limitations).
Dr. Hwang is truly a good person and an excellent doctor.

I chose Girin Plastic Surgery based on the positive reviews I read. The results and “before and after” photos looked natural. In my consultation with Dr. Lee, he was very pleasant and with a great sense of humor, which was unexpected. I especially appreciate his professionalism and unique techniques, especially in facial contouring, which set him apart from other clinics.

It has now been 4 months. My face has become noticeably slimmer. I have received compliments from my husband and close friends. Interestingly, my friends, not knowing about my plastic surgery, mistook the changes for the result of weight loss due to dieting. I am thrilled and completely happy with the result. I had pin removal from a facial contouring I got from few years ago from a different clinic and Dr. Lee Seung Ryong did amazing job to remove it when other clinics couldn’t. I went to Girin Plastic Surgery for a double eyelid surgery as I had asymmetry in my eyelid folds and wanted to get rid of excess fat on my eyelids. The consultation was professional and I liked how the surgeon explained the whole process in detail. On the day of surgery, the in-house interpreter took great care of me and helped me calm down as I was very nervous.

The result is amazing - I wanted to get a natural but more open look and my surgeon, Dr. Lee Seung-ryong, did a great job. I am writing this review a month after the surgery.

After a traumatic V Line surgery in Thailand, I ended up looking like an alien. I've consulted with over 30+ doctors all over Asia, and Dr. Lee was one of the few surgeons who understood my concern fully, and able to match my expectation with reality. He carefully explained the surgery limitations, and side effects realistically in English. There were also hospital translators to assist throughout the whole surgery process. Glad I'm over with one of the biggest headaches of my life!

I knew Korea was really famous for their plastic surgery so when I was researching some clinics online, I came across Girin Plastic Surgery on their youtube. This specific video amazed me with their face contouring so I decided to give them a call. It was difficult to find their contact because their English website was renewing at the time but luckily I found them on ig and they gave me their WhatsApp number to contact. Although their response wasn't the fastest, I could feel that they really cared to answer my questions and gave me quotes for all possible surgeries. I booked an appointment with them right away and went to the clinic a month after, in September. They helped me book a taxi from Incheon Airport to Gangnam. It was nice to have English-speaking driver, although his English wasn't all that great. I believe it was alittle cheaper than the normal korean taxi (mine was a van). And because I paid deposits, they gave me discounts on the hotel. It was nice for them to provide me with a hotel that was VERY NICE with 50% discount.

Waiting time wasn't bad (about 10~20mins) and the consultation took about an hour or even more. Although the consultant looked very busy, I had their staff member keep me accompanied ;) I had my blood test and EKG (?) right after the consultation since my surgery was on the day. The coordinator helped me to get changed, wash my face and rinse my mouth before I went into the surgery room. And the last thing I remember from the surgery room is the coordinator assuring me to relax and just sleep. When I woke up, I felt very dizzy and light-headed. The swelling was horrible but there wasn't much bruising. I just had to use the garment and ice pack for the swelling to go down. The clinic also provided me with de-swelling laser treatment which was warming :) 2 weeks after the surgery, I looked somewhat "normal" and was ready to go back to my home. Because I had surgery right after I landed and the swelling was bad during my stay in Korea, I didn't get to travel and explore much but overall experience was great! My after picture is 3 months after the surgery. (Just a few days ago) My face looks a lot smaller, especially the chin. I now really enjoy looking at myself in the mirror xD If you are looking to get face contour done, then I would definitely try consulting with girin.

I discovered Girin Plastic Surgery through Instagram and decided to go in for a consultation. I ended up getting lower and upper blepharoplasty, a forehead lift and reduction, as well as liposuction. My consultation experience with Ariya was excellent—she spent about 4–5 hours with me and was incredibly attentive and supportive throughout the process.

My goal was to enhance my overall appearance, and I felt confident moving forward with the procedures. The surgery itself went well, although it did take longer than expected, and I had to stay overnight. Fortunately, my recovery was smooth with minimal swelling and no complications.

The only downside was the follow-up. I went to the clinic on two separate occasions at scheduled times to have my stitches removed, but unfortunately, the doctor wasn’t available either time.

I found Girin Plastic Surgery Korea on Instagram and my friend also recommended it. I had upper and lower blepharoplasty and forehead lifting. The surgery went well. Did not have any pain and the place is very clean. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. Sara is very nice. The doctor explained very well. Will recommend it to everyone.

(^_^) Exceptional Experience at GIRIN, Top Korean Skin Clinic!

I had the pleasure of visiting this amazing skin clinic during my trip to Seoul, and I couldn’t be more impressed! As a first time Australian medical tourism traveller, I was initially nervous about getting injectables in a foreign country, but the entire experience exceeded my expectations.

To rejuvenate my skin, I opted for a combination of Juvelook skin boosters, for face and hands, Juvelook volume for mid cheek, lower body fat-dissolving injection's, Botox, skin Botox, exosomes and IV Glutathione. I would be very happy under her care. Additionally, the female injecting doctor also helped keep me calm through the skin treatments, explaining each step. I didn’t feel rushed or unimportant.

What truly set this clinic apart is their competitive pricing. As someone who’s had aesthetic treatments in other countries, I can confidently say that the quality of service here is on par with the best, yet the prices were incredibly reasonable compared to similar treatments abroad.

I got my upper blepharoplasty and wanted to keep in natural look. I had been using forehead muscle to open my eyes so it was my biggest concern. During the f2f consultation, the doctor asked my what brought me to the clinic, so I addressed the issue and concerns. He pointed to where my fat and how many MM skin needed to be removed. I went to the surgery room and less then four hours later I can see the result!
I am happy with the result and I definitely recommend this clinic to my friends and family members.

I’m 53 and have had my blepharoplasty lower and upper done over 23 years ago. I’ve been meaning to get my upper eyelids revised as aging has resulting in a very squinty eye and tired look. I finally had a chance this June. After vetting three clinics, I settled on GIRIN to get my Upper Blepharoplasty done. The look I wanted to achieve would mean an incisional blepharoplasty given the excess skin causing ptosis, non-incisional would not be sufficient. I had also wanted a forehead fat graft to fill the hollows around my temples. Upon arrival at Girin, I met with Dr. Hun who not only spoke fluent English but had a very forthcoming and congenial bedside manner. We had a very frank discussion about how merely cutting the excess skin would not achieve the look I had wanted. She suggested I also get a brow lift as merely cutting skin would still not resolve my squint as more space need to be created between the brow and the eye. Dr. Hun explained the two methods in great detail the “under brow lift” and an “endotine brow lift” which was her recommended method for me.

I was given a little time to discuss the price changes and mull over the choices I was given. I was told that the fat graft would have to wait if I decided to do the endotine lift. I decided to trust her judgement and went with the upper blepharoplasty and the endotine brow lift as opposed to a sub-brow lift. My pre-operation meeting the next day went well, and Dr. Hun explained exactly what she would do in surgery as well as touched upon the side effects of tightness and forehead numbness I would experience for a good half a year. I mentioned that I had always wanted to correct an uneven lower right brow, and she took that into account and explained how she will try to address that by lifting a tiny bit more on my right side.

Though anxious, the pre-surgery procedures went smoothly. My consultant Sue was so kind to walk me all the way into surgery and held my hand till I couldn’t remember anymore. I met Dr. Hun on the 7th day post surgery, and she discussed the healing process and managed my expectations for my swelling. I bruise easily and was exceptionally bruised compared to many she’s seen, but she said it was not a cause for alarm as I was healing well.

It’s been a two weeks post surgery, and I am very pleased with the results. Dr. Hun’s work is amazing. Though my eyelids are still swollen, my brows are now even, my eyes look awake, and my forehead is smooth. I look fresh. The post-operative care was detailed, and the nurses were gentle when removing my stitches. I am not one for pain and I couldn’t even feel a thing when the eyelid and forehead stitches were removed.

I look forward to the one-month mark when the bruising is all gone and my eyelids look more natural and some tightness in the forehead will ease.

I’d a great experience with JK Plastic since everyone in the clinic makes me feel comfortable and welcome. Dr. Paik Hye Won is an excellent surgeon. After asking for several clinics, her recommendations was the best, a natural and younger look.
The manager and Doctors speaks English and thats makes everything much easier.
The manager explains all the procedures and what I could expect about pain, recovery, etc.
Since I don’t live in Korea it was very hard to choose the right one, so glad that I make the correct choice, 100% recommend JK Plastic.

I got Ptosis Correction here and I wouldn’t have chosen any other place. The people were very attentive and treated me very well my entire time here. My eyes look great and I would 100% get it done again.

Such an amazing experience from beginning to end. Dahye and Young were amazing and great communicators. I never felt uninformed. Dr. Paik is an artist and am so happy with my eye surgery results. I highly highly recommend.
